Bio for Professor Don Green

Don Green is Professor of Political Science at Yale University, where he has taught since 1989. He is a life-long game player and collector but only began designing games in 1998. In the wake of Kasparov's defeat at the hands of Deep Blue, Don set himself the task of formulating a game ("Octi") that would have simple rules yet present a large enough branching factor to hamper computer play. Don's subsequent games (Mouse Island, Jumpin' Java, Razzle Dazzle) are abstract games that feature simple rules but interesting strategic challenges.
